American’s used to spend more time on their health, but has lower life expectancy!

In 2018, the US spent near about 16.9% of their total economy on healthcare, which is twice of the average developed nation. The statement is passed according to the new study, which was released on Thursday by The Commonwealth Fund. The Americans usually pay around $10000 per head for their health care. The amount is just doubled as compared to the residents of Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

When it comes to spending on private health care, which includes the premiums of employers sponsored coverage, which is made of the Outlays in the US. In comparison to Canada (The 2nd highest spender), the Americans used to spend 5 times more on healthcare.

When the study made after so much spending on health care, it is found that still, the residents of the US are not getting the exact results on their health converted from dollars. Americans do not have much life span at birth. The life span is estimated at around 78.6 to 80.7 years average. The research is done among the Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development’s 36 countries. The Swiss are expected to live a longer life, which has 83.6 years of average life expectancy.
