Bitcoin scam: Many Twitter accounts hacked including Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk – News Sarasota


The Twitter accounts of many of the world’s big businessmen and leaders, including billionaire businessmen Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and Bill Gates, have been hacked. This hack is being called King Bitcoin Scam. People have asked for donations in bitcoin in posts made on hacked accounts. The tweet from Bill Gates’s account said, “Everyone has been asking me to return to society, now that the time has come. You send me one thousand dollars, I will send you two thousand dollars back.” The tweet posted from the account of Tesla and Space X chief Elon Musk also said that the money sent in Bitcoin will be doubled and returned for the next one hour. The tweet, with a link to the Bitcoin address, read, “I am donating because of the Kovid epidemic.”

These tweets were deleted within a few minutes of posting. In addition to famous US rapper Kanay West, former President Barack Obama and Democratic Party presidential candidate Joe Biden, accounts of Uber and Apple, among the world’s biggest companies, were also hacked. In a short time, hundreds of people sent over one lakh dollars to the hackers. The account that was targeted has tens of millions of followers.

Twitter has said that it is investigating this hacking completely. Twitter said that as long as this incident is being investigated, passwords will not be reset and tweets will not be possible. Many users have written that they are not able to tweet on Twitter. Social media activist Ankit Lal associated with Aam Aadmi Party wrote on Facebook, “Twitter is down after hacking. Tried to post many times but Twitter is not working.”
